There’s more industrial action on the way today at the Launceston General Hospital.
It comes after another unofficial Code Yellow alert was called on the weekend by the Nurse’s and Midwifery Federation due to staff shortages in emergency departments.
The action will be mirrored at public hospitals across the state.

The union says it’s calling the action because the state government has failed to deliver additional resources and assist with increased workloads due to its ‘Transfer of Care’ (ramping) procedure.
