Organisers of this year’s Tasmanian Craft Fair say they’re delighted with the result.
It’s still too early for exact numbers but they’re confident they had 10 percent more visitors over the three days than the four days of last year’s event.
They say it fully vindicates their decision to switch to a three-day event this year.
Craft Fair director Michael Plunkett says the interest in the fair remains as strong as ever.
“We’ve increased our patronage and all the exhibitors have had a cracker,” he said.
“In some cases it’s been a record year for them. So we’re delighted.
“The weather has been great. The town is buzzing. Deloraine has been an amazing place to be over that last few days.”
It’s estimated the Fair generates more than two million dollars for the local region.
