Two teenage boys are due to appear in court today in Launceston after an alleged attack on a Metro bus driver.
It’s alleged the driver was attacked by the youths on Friday night at Mowbray Hill after the bus driver stopped the vehicle and asked them to get off because they were drinking alcohol.
Police say the two youths – aged 17 and 16 – punched and kicked the driver and hit him with a broken bottle during the incident.

The driver was taken to the Launceston General Hospital for treatment of a cut to his eye.
Both teens were apprehended by police yesterday.
