Tasmania Police are investigating an incident where a child was hit by a car in the Kmart shopping centre carpark in Launceston yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the Coles and Kmart complex at Racecourse Crescent around 2pm yesterday.
Police say it appears the child ran between two parked cars and on to the road way.

The child escaped with only minor injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
