Big changes on the way at airport

On the back of record passenger numbers passing through Launceston Airport in the last 12 months, there’s more signs of its continued growth.

The airport this morning announcing it has completed the largest tender process in its history, delivering new retail, food and beverage options.

The airport has awarded new tenders which will see the installation of a new all-day café, modern bar and dining venue along with an expanded Launceston Store.

New food and beverage partner SSP will make healthy eating at the airport easier with the introduction of Liv Eat along with brand new café and bar outlets.

Existing retail operator LagadereAWPL will oversee an expansion of the popular Launceston Store, adding an additional 120 square metres of floor space to showcase Tasmanian gifts and artisan products.

New and upgraded high-impact digital and outdoor advertising assets will be deployed throughout the terminal and the precinct.

The Departures Hall will also be refreshed, with new lounges and seating.
