Launceston’s CBD area has been hit with a power outage this morning.
The incident occurred just after 6am.
A fault in an underground feeder cable from Trevallyn is being blamed for the outage this morning which impacted parts of the city including Invermay.

At one stage more than 500 customers were impacted.
Traffic lights also went out, with motorists being advised to exercise caution at intersections.
Crews remain on-site, working to restore power to affected customers.
