Launceston community asked to again dig deep

Charities are getting ready for another wave of community demand with families now facing back to school pressures.

Vinnies say it’s becoming increasingly difficult for families to afford the equipment school kids need.

Crews have been busy at Vinnie’s Emergency Relief Centre in Boland Street in Launceston, packing back to school and other emergency relief items.

The organisation’s CEO Heather Kent says it’s hoping for donations to its Schools Essentials Campaign as the group looks to recover from the work it did over Xmas where its services were in high demand.
