Launceston Council will review city centre signage in a bid to remove confusion around where e-scooters can and can’t be ridden.
The council has conceded there’s a lack of clarity around where the devices are permitted around the CBD including certain parks and trails.
Confusion has been created by owners of private scooters riding in areas which are not permitted.

The council says updating signs that restrict the use of bikes, skateboards and scooters to also prohibit the e-scooters should achieve the required result.
